One of the most important aspects of curb appeal on any home is the landscaping. Now let’s start with trees and shrubs. There are several different benefits that can be gained by using trees and shrubs. But the key is to use the right ones in order for the entire yard to blend well together. Some ideas for shrubs would be boxwoods and topiaries. You should take care to plant trees and of course shrubs in your yard that will grow easily in the climate and also in the soil type you have. You could also utilize transplanted mature trees since these grow quickly. When planting deciduous trees plant them away from driveways and walkways to avoid the mess of their leaves nuts and other debris they give off.

A great way to add personality to your yard is with flowers. Flowers can be the easiest way to add a wealth of color to your yard. Be sure to utilize flowers that fit into your overall design and match well with all of the other landscaping. Bright colors such as reds, oranges, and yellows will attract a lot of attention not only from people but birds and butterflies as well while the calmer shades such as blues and greens will blend well with the landscape and also create a very relaxing atmosphere. You can create beautiful flower beds that will accent any walkways or the driveway as well as line your homes perimeter. Plant a variety of perennials which will give you beautiful color all year long. Look into varieties that bloom each season.
