Tips for Buying Mowers

If you need to buy a new mower, there are several ways to narrow down your choice. First of all, the size of the lawn should be the most important fain your decision. If your lawn is small, you might want to consider buying a human powered or "hand" mower; it's good exercise for you and it's a "green" choice for the environment. If the lawn's a little too large for that, but not really expansive, then a small gasoline powered mower with a 16-20" cutting area will probably do just fine.

Again, if you're thinking "green", a small electric powered mower should be the right machine for the job while leaving less of a carbon footprint than its gasoline powered cousins. Really large properties will require either a larger gasoline powered mower with a self-propelled feature which means you just walk behind it and steer while power is supplied to the wheels or a small "riding" mower which is like a mini-tractor.
