Tips for Buying a TV or DVD player
A great way to make sure you're getting your money's worth is to look at user reviews online. Read reviews, or even product descriptions on a reseller's website can be helpful, the information that you receive from other users like yourself is likely the information that will sway you to pick one or the other.
Purchasing new electronics is a daunting task; between looking for the best price, and making sure that what you're buying is going to last a long time, the amount of information out there can be overwhelming.
The best thing to do is take a look at the current trends in the electronics industry and work based off of that information. For example, LCD TVs seem to be selling better than plasma, and there are frequently sales on these TVs. They range in size from a simple 12" all the way to 60" and beyond, so there's something for every budget.
As far as DVD players go, these have reduced in price drastically over the last few years. Just make sure that you get one that can play DVDs from the region that you use, or a region free player that is able to play DVDs that are made internationally. This way, you don't run into being unable to play one of your new DVDs.
