If you are hanging one large piece of work you will want to have the center of that piece at eye level. If you are of an “under average” height, you will not want to use your eye level, but rather the average eye level.
If you are going to be putting up a collage or collection of pieces up, the center of the collection should be at eye level. Again, always plan how you are going to hang this piece either by marking the walls, drawing it out on paper, or laying the pieces out on the floor before you start hammer nails into your wall. Doing this will ensure you have the best look you can get, while doing it with the least amount of frustration.
