Tips for Dining Room Décor
Creating a Glamorous Dining Spaces
When creating the most glamorous dining space, you will want to stick with a round or oval table. These combined with elegant chairs always seem to bring the most soothing and classy look to a dining area. Add a new chandelier to this and you will enhance the image even more and to follow suit a large, framed mirror should be placed off to the side and accent the table and chairs with silver. Each of these items will do it part in “glamorizing” your dining area and if you were to light candles in this room the light will dance lightly around the entire room. For one more added feature, you can put up some Champaign colored drapes or curtains.
Creating a Modern Dining Room
When you start to look for a more modern look for your dining room you will need to turn to a more textured room. Not all of these textures need to be the same however. For example, a glass table top combined with a stone floor and metal accented chairs will give you a very “now” look. Add to this a granite countertop, vaulted ceilings and glass doors and you've got the most modern dining room on the block.
Creating an Opulent Dining
If you are looking more for an opulent dining area, you will want to look for dark, rich wood colors. Combine this with unique vases and crystal full of an array of flowers and flower petals and you should be very satisfied.
Traditional and Formal Dining Rooms
To create a more formal dining area you will want to stick to a creamy colored wall and a traditional wooden floor. To this you will want to add a china cabinet and a glass-topped table. The cabinet will offer a nice break from the standard wall color and the china inside should add a bit of color to the room. After this a few upholster chairs and a standard floor rug will finish the room off. If you have a lot of wall space open, you may want to consider some landscape art or possibly additional lighting with scones.
